Biography

The Band was formed in the late Autumn of 2006 when the 5 members of a rock covers band “Dirt” decided that it was time Scotland had an Alice Cooper tribute band. The idea stemmed from the reaction to Alice Cooper covers we played and the fact some of us were Cooper fanatics. The concept originally was to play the songs Alice fans wanted to hear and so far that has meant mainly picking to songs from Love it To Death to Welcome To my Nightmare periods.  So far we have played mainly in the Glasgow area but we are now looking to play more gigs around Scotland.

Why Gallus? Well it’s a Glasgow term for attitude and arrogance - both Scottish and Alice traits.

Gallus
himself has survived Glasgow’s rock scene all his days although can be seen watching Alice and rock gigs around the world.

Gallus has a number of healthy passtimes. Just like Alice, he's a keen golfer, been a rock DJ for a number of years and loves to play with anything sharp

I have been playing guitar for 20 years. I started played rock/metal shred style guitar at the age of 10 listening to artists such as Dream Theater, RacerX , Ozzy as well as many others. My favourite players include Paul Gilbert, Richie Kotzen and Brett Garsed.

I have played guitar in various different cover bands over the last 10 years playing everything from jazz/funk to country to rock including a spell playing bass in the Tron Collective.

I wasn’t that familiar with Alice Cooper’s music until joining the band but now I have become a fan and I love playing his music and banging out those great riffs.

I love heavy rock, my fav’s being AC/DC, Saxon, Metallica, Judas Priest, MSG, Heavy Pettin’ and most 80’s rock, not forgetting Alice of course, although since joining the band I would say that I like him even more now!

I’ve played in bands since I was about 18, like Vendetta who became Mudshark.small Gallus Cooper guitarist Brian

bloodThen Le Ron Karis with the greatest drummer I’ve ever known, George Gillies!!!!, and Mark Rankin, singer with Gun.

I then joined GLASGOW.

I’ve played in some other cover bands and was in Thunderstruck until recently.

I’m now with this mad bunch, who are all great guys. I also play bagpipes and have done in various bands over the years. I love motorbikes and have a couple, but don’t get as much time to ride as I would like, although I love going to bike rallies. That’s all folks!!!!! That’s ROCK AND ROLL.....lclanadonia
